Parkgate Farm Hotel - Holmrook

I stayed here for 4 days and would come here again. The venue's position was remote. Again, it was 25 mins drive from View Heathrow Observation Deck.

The employees were affable and helpful.

The hotel had a secluded location in the field immediately in front of the van. Moreover, it's close enough to Ravenglass train station and the castle, Wast Water which is picturesque personified and the fields. I had caravan with windows overlooking garden and lovely bed.

My stay was truly memorable, thoroughly enjoyed special vibes!

It was in a great and stunning location to farm.

Staying in the caravan with friendly donkeys nearby was a highlight! We also enjoyed exploring the stunning views and local walking trails.

Consider bringing a 4x4 vehicle due to the steep and rough entry road. it can be challenging for regular cars.

Spacious and clean caravan.

The steep entry road to the caravan was daunting, and I genuinely felt uneasy about navigating it, especially in bad weather. Unfortunately, kids were running around late into the night, which disrupted our peace. The most frustrating aspect was the unreliable Wi-Fi. We couldn't even enjoy a simple film because of the constantly dropping connection. With a bit of luck, I hope for a better experience next time.

Donkeys and Fine Sunsets

We spent our evenings gazing at the amazing scenery and sharing laughs over the antics of the friendly donkeys. The kids loved it, and the caravan was cozy!

The entrance road was quite steep and bumpy. But once settled, all was forgotten in the beauty surrounding us.

The views of the hills and donkeys were good! Our kids had a blast interacting with the animals.

wifi signal was quite weak.

Lovely outdoor dining area and very comfy beds. Wi-Fi was spotty in our caravan.

Perfect spot for family adventures!

We had such a blast staying in our caravan! Super comfy beds and everything was super clean. Loved having the picnic area to chill after long walks. We hiked Scafell Pike, just a hop away. The only thing was that the Wi-Fi could've been better, kinda spotty. A fab place for family fun!

Beautiful location, clean accommodations.

The location offers fine views, and the spacious decking was perfect. The caravan wasvery comfy and tidy, especially the super comfy beds that ensured a good night's sleep. While the kitchen was well-equipped, additional utensils would have been appreciated for larger families. The access to nearby attractions like Scafell Pike and the Ravenglass Railway made for good day trips.

This place suits me perfectly! I love the free Wi-Fi, outdoor dining area, and the friendly staff. They helped me return documents I left behind during my first stay. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!
